In the context of its 100th anniversary, The Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan is organizing The Ph.D. Supervisor: a Master, a Partner or a Service Provider? Challenges of Doctoral Education meeting on June 28, with the support from SGroup and Compostela Group.


This one-day meeting is devoted to the exchange of best practices in the area of doctoral education and brings together interested parties from SGroup and Compostela Group members, with the focus placed on the structure of the doctoral school as well as the relation between the Ph.D. student and the Supervisor.

This meeting is designed for Deputy rectors, Deans for Graduate Studies and Heads of Doctoral Schools rather than a training session as such.


Registrations are now open here and are free of charge (including meals, but not including travel nor accommodation). A tentative programme can be found below, still subject to updates.


Accommodation: the Adam Mickiewicz University of Poznan has assured 10 places in the guest rooms of its dorms at low prices and a good standard (guestrooms at Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) Wieniawskiego 17, 61-713, about 50€ per night). Other guests will have to use hotels in the city.
