Of Mountains and Men in a Changing World

Other info: Université Grenoble Alpes' Summer school will be taking you through a pluridisciplinary discovery of the mountains and their human geography, resource management, climate change issues, tourism perspectives, glaciology background, and more. You will be taught by experts in their fields, and taken on field trips to the Vercors and Belledone mountains, as well as to the Col du Lautaret, close by the Italian border.

Students will develop an understanding of the mechanisms at play in how mountains are built, learn about Alpine environmental degradation, and explore how nature and humans adapt together to changing circumstances.
The week-ends will be left for you to organize!
